(Previously Star Live.) Feeling a little bit like a factory warehouse, this venue is functional and sparse, but that means it doesn't rely on any of the charm of your local dive and delivers a great show every time.

Compared to other live rock venues in Beijing, Star Live has a much more professional feeling to it. Situated above Tango nightclub, it feels much more dressed up. There's no random graffiti on the walls - the paint was intended to be there and hasn't started to chip yet - and the ticketing system is professional and organized. The space feels almost like the nightclub downstairs, with stools and tables for people who aren't interested in the mosh to sit back and wait, and there's a VIP area upstairs that's offered for a severely inflated price for most gigs.
