Currently the band is comprised of vocalist/guitarist Ryan Key, vocalist/violinist Sean Mackin, drummer Longineu Parsons, guitarist Ryan Mendez, and bassist Sean O’Donnell. With a classically trained violinist amongst their ranks, Yellowcard is not your average rock group. To date, the band has released a total of seven albums. During Yellowcard’s early years from 1997-2001, their first three albums depicted the band’s developing stage, with a shift in lineup causing a subsequent shift in musical style from hardcore to lighter, poppier sound. While the band attained a decent fan following during that time, it was Yellowcard’s fourth album, Ocean Avenue, released in 2003, that propelled the band to mass commercial success. With chart-topping hits including its wildly popular title track, Ocean Avenue sold more than a million copies and was certified double platinum by the RIAA in 2004.
