Perfume Genius is the stage name of Seattle-based singer-songwriter Mike Hadreas.

By 2008, Hadreas began releasing his haunting lo-fi piano ballads through his MySpace page, catching the attention of the already established group Los Campesinos!. In June 2010, Perfume Genius’ full-length debut, Learning, was released on Matador Records.
