bisq is a Japanese folk singer who moved to Beijing in 2006 to kick-start her indie music career. With three albums under her belt and a close association with the Haidian mainstay 13 Club, she's weathered the storms of Beijing's indie music scene and made a name for herself here. She's also taken part in fundraising through the Japanese Red Cross to help the Sichuan Earthquake victims, so Beijing is more than happy to have her.
